About Tables

So far all the pages you've seen in the workshop have been vertical, with text and graphics moving down the page.  The user has to scroll through the page to see all the material.  Web designers like to get as much information as possible to fit on the screen so they need to design horizontally.  Tables make it easy to place text and graphics beside each other.  Review the sample table below.  It has a border so you can see the way the cells fit together.  You can also choose to hide the border so your text and graphics seem to float on the page.

Let's Preserve America's Lighthouses!

Since Memorial Day, visitors from all over the world have been trudging up the steps to the top of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse to enjoy the view of the Outer Banks of North Carolina and revel in the expanse of the Atlantic Ocean.
