Report Your Findings

Review your spreadsheet, especially formulas and charts, for tomorrow's hands-on test.

The last step in the project is to communicate our findings to the M&M company.  Before writing your letter, you might want to visit the M&Ms web site.   They have their own pie charts for distribution at http://www.m-ms.com/factory/history/faq1.html.  Compare them to yours; you might want to mention them in your letter.

You will write a formal (business) letter to the company.  Your letter will have three paragraphs:

1. Paragraph #1:  Describe our project.
2. Paragraph #2:  Describe your findings.  Refer to the chart.
3. Paragraph #3:  Ask questions or make observations.

Use the format on page 223 in your textbook.

The inside address should be:

Consumer Affairs Department

M&M/Mars

Hackettstown, NJ 07840-1503

The greeting should be:  To Whom It May Concern

The writer's name and address should be:

Your Name

When you finish typing the letter, copy and paste one of your M&M charts at the bottom.

Print and put in basket.  I'll grade them and then we'll print them in color to send to the company.
